I got this at the bottom of my e-bill notification:

( I logged in and didn't see anything pointing out what the change is, $40 a month for basic is too much for me so if they think they can increase it more I'll switch to someone else or go without all-together )

Important notice: Your Bell TV monthly fee is changing.

I'd like to know that as well. I have no contract, own all my own receivers and have been a customer for 7 years.

6 themes TMN and HD. $5/month

Yet some with HD extra, 7 themes, TMN, and HD old only gets a $2 increase! WTF?

I recently received a postcard telling my how much they loved me and wanted to give me 60$ in PPV credit. Only when I visited the link they gave did I realize that I had to sign up for 3 more years to get it. Thanks but no thanks.

Are you kidding? This just means more money for Bell. Why would they pass the savings to us?
Be sure to let them know that their outsourced cs sucks, every chance you get.

My bill showed a $ 5.00 increase, looks like the $ 3.00 reduction for the movie network with 6 themes is gone, and now cost $ 19.00. Sorry bell we also will be ''downgrading''

what? i'll change too if its goes up to much. its already expensif but many people told me to stay with bell tv to see what's going to happen with their new sat. but if goes up more, too bad.

Did get a notice with my E-bill that the monthly rate would increase in January by $4. No other explanation. Did sent an email asking about the increase and received a reply from the other side of the world stating that my monthly bill was reviewed and they could not find any increase and that I should be more specific. I find the reply amusing at the very least.

Could the number of receivers be the deciding factor in the size of a subs' increase?

bell`s existing customer are being called to renew their contract. an offer is also made based on your monthly bill, the time you have been a customer. a 7 year customer will have more then a 2 year customer.

Anyone see on that new pricing brochure what Leafs TV costs? And I assume if you want the Max package at $95, and want all 13 mainstream English themes, it's another 5 bucks for the 13th?

I like their comparison to cable... PVR with expandable capacity, and 30s commercial skip... That works pretty well on my cable PVR, dunno about yours.

The 200+ channels are not by choice, we must take all these in the crazy packages they offer to get the few channels we actually watch. Give me 20 channels that I really want and let me pay only for them...:rolleyes:

A $4 increase isn't enough to make me re-invest in more equipment with another provider, everything seems to be going up anyway. What I don't like is the lack of explanation, what is the increase for? Why are people reporting different amounts? I know the $3 Digital Service (or whatever) was a joke, but at least they attempted to rationalize it.

forgetting about the bundle price with this new pricing.

now
$73 Ultra Value Combo (6 themes)
$10 HDTV
$ 3 Digital Fee
=$86

New brochure
$59 Digital Essentials (6 themes)
$19 Premium Movie package
$15 HDTV channels
$ 3 Digital Fee
=$96

Wow. What a scam. If I move to new pricing it will be a $10 increase not $5.

You didn't get the $3 Digital fee earlier this year?

My bill has increased at least $15 over the last 3 years. I find this last $5 increase unacceptable and untimely.

I called to cancel but was offered a discount not to leave.

I called today and spoke to some CSR who was about as cryptic as the notice on the bill notifying me of a $4.00 increase. When I inquired why some increases were $2.00, some $4.00, some $5.00 all he said was "depends on the package". When I asked for details, he said "That's it..." I told him thank you, and said I would be calling back shortly to cancel. He didn't say a word more. Didn't exactly try to sell the virtues of staying with Bell. Why do I suspect mine was not his first disgruntled call concerning this increase.
Thanks for your typical customer service buddy. I hope there are some Bell management people reading these forums so they know why their customers are so annoyed with Bell TV. :confused:

Imagine this: My last bill said that I was to get a $4.00 increase. My new bill does not have any price increase on it. What gives? Am I in for an increase when my contract ends, or is this just a misprint?

For those on a contract, it says you can cancel service if you don't agree to the new charges. You have 30 days from the time you received notice. That is what I read in section 3 anyway:
