No.

On the new package, you have to have at least the a la carte 15 to get individual channels on their own. Same goes for the favourites.

As I stated earlier, the new 25$ Quebec Basic is not the same as the Digital Standard being sold for 35$ in Ontario.

It is stripped of the American networks in SD (HD nets are free).

It is also stripped of the extra channels that are included in Digital Standard (W network and Treehouse are examples).

Roman actually had it right when he said it is a combination of La Base Num

It not fair to look at gas prices between province unless you break out the taxes

So Base price (without discounts) is $35 in Ontario and $25 in Quebec.

Is that legal?

I believe the French packages have fewer channels. Not sure about the "Build your own" bilingual package. The basic French package was cheaper for years. Whether that was due to market conditions or package contents, I don't know.

so my question is, it is worth to change my programming: i have the max. include movie network. so that's mean: digital standard, news and learning 1&2, family 1&2, lifestyle 1, variety 1&2&3, le monde en fran

julie, there is no way for anyone to know what channels you must have and what channels you can live without. You really need to do your own research and decide what is best for you.

The price for English vs French "Digital Standard" have always been different because the English version had more channels. But customers from anywhere could choose either version, the cheaper French package was not for Qu

A different price for a French only vs. English only package that is available Canada wide is understandable if they contain different stations but there should be no such thing as Quebec vs. Ontario pricing. It should be outlawed.

Why should someone in Ontario be forced to pay more for an identical service from the same provider?

True. We have Rogers in Ontario who seems to do a lot of business with Bell (witness Olympics and Inukshuk) vs in Quebec with Videotron.

Log in to your account on the Bell.ca site. Go to My Services > TV > View and Enhance Programming > View All Channels. From there, you can see what you currently have, view what is in all the theme packs and see what it costs. Once a new lineup is chosen, it can be ordered from the same page. It takes effect almost immediately.

I was able to adjust programming online which is pretty cool.

Dropped Discovery Health -- absolutely useless -- and picked up Showcase.

For QC Pick n Pay can someone explain why Bell would include CP24 in a Qc only offering? At least throw CNN or Fox News as an option in the 15, 20 or 30 channel options ...

LOL
Good point.
CP24 is useless for Quebec.

By the way, has anyone on the new platform tried to access TMN, FAMILY or PLAYHOUSE online programming via BellTV's website?

I keep getting an error message saying I am not subscribed to the proper theme packs.

Of course I do not have theme packs, I am on A LA CARTE platform!

I do sub to TMN, Playhouse and Family so I should have access to the online programming too...

perhaps Appache70 should call bell tv again and asking why tmn, playhouse disney and family online always mark as error. because you should be able to get it supposely to be free...
