I went to pay my BellTV through online banking this morning and there were messages from Bell saying that they had switched me over to Bell Onebill. I did not request to be switched and when I phoned Bell, they told me that all customers would be switched over.

Has anyone else experienced this? I can just Imagine the nightmare and me losing my 40% retention offer. Not looking forward to endless hours on the phone trying to settle bill issues.

Don't worry about it, each dept will bill seperatly it will just show up on "one bill" for each month, just pay on the new account number.

Bell Alliant has one bill for Bell Aliant landlines and Bell Mobilty for customers in Atlantic Canada, both seperate divisions but no hassels.

What's being put together for you? Bell TV and Bell Mobility?

If you have multiple (qualifying) services, then you will get an additional discount. There is no downside. Relax :)

The thing is I get a $22 credit on my Bell Mobility because I pay it through a BellAliant Value Package (Landline, Internet and Mobility). If Bell combines my Mobility with my TV, I'll lose that credit from BellAliant.

moosefan, Bell OneBill is a great tool for Bell TV CSRs, as it allows Bell TV to issue you programming credits in real time for example if your service goes down for any reason.

mossefan, I believe you will receive a single service Bell OneBill each month. Your new billing cycle will be 1-30 days later than your previous Bell TV legacy billing cycle. If you have preauthorized Credit Card payments your withdrawl date will change from being that day after the bill date to be about 21 days after your new Bell OneBill bill date.

moosefan, don't worry, Bell OneBill will not remove your Retentions (Customer Loyalty) offers.

I wouldn't worry.

Do you know the billing system your hydro or your municipal taxes are processed on? It really makes little difference.

Sure relax, Bell never screws up your billing. And when they do it will be easy as pie to get it fixed.

Actually, it is an issue and it happened to me. They changed me to OneBill without notifying me, and I paid my bill using the old account number. Therefore I was deliquent as far as Bell was concerned. It made no sense to make that change, because Bell TV was the only service I was receiving, and intended to ever receive.

So are you going to give him the $22.00/month credit if he loses it? With Bell's history he does need to be worried until his credit is still confirmed and he is satisfied with the changes they have made without any prior notification.

Bell won't combine your services without asking you, heck it took them 2 months to combine both my Bell TV One Bill account with my Bell home phone One Bill account and this was after repeated calls REQUESTING them to do it. You also won't lose any discounts that you have, for my other services, the discount is applied before migrating over to one bill.

lightningflik said it best. The 40% offer is applied before it goes to One Bill, so it wouldn't be affected at all.

Also, if you accidentally pay on the old account number, it still goes to your account, but it has a delay until the two systems can reconcile that amount. As I said, it's hardly the end of the world. Next month, you know to look at your bill and see which account number to pay.

It's not a completely invisible change, but as I said, does it really matter what system your insurance or your gas bill is printed with? As long as you know the account number to pay, it shouldn't matter.

And on One Bill, you have the option of combining your Bell accounts and saving money. Or is there something wrong with THAT, too?

He was concerned that he may have to pay everything on one bill. But they don't automatically consolidate your bills. Therefore, it is possible to have more than one One Bill. Which is understandably confusing to some.

I taught they had switch over all the cients to ONE BILL a long time ago...

-If you didn't request to "combine" your Bell bills together they won't be
-If you had promotionnal credits, or retention offer applied on your account they will still be applied

That change is just a matter of switching the design of your bill and your account number for electronic payment

-If you are paying "on line" or throught the bank machine from a pre-established list of bills, you would have to update the account number listed in your list of bills and put your one bill number (the one with the ZZZ at the end) instead of your BellTV account number (starting by 4540)

If you call and say you made a payment but it's not reflected on your bill lots of CSR (at least when I was there) won't understand your situation.

Also, when you have one bill and call to know, for example, if they receive payment, make sure you ask to speak to an agent that has acces to one bill (unless all representatives do today). The CSR wh don't have acces to one bill can only look at CSG, who (when I was working there) didn't reflect wether payment was made, or not, it only showed that we transferred X amount to be billed to one bill so amount is at 0$ to be transfered to one bill. Lots of clients have therefore got the info that their account was at 0$ when, in fact, it was 2-3 months deliquent.

If you didn't look at you bill and didn't make the change meanning you paid you bill to your BellTV (4540) account rather than your new one bill (with the ZZZ at the end), the amount will get transferred on the next bill, or the following one, depending when you made te payment (the billing cycle is different from one bill to BellTV bill). If you have any late fee related to that I suggest you call BellTV and request satisfaction credit for the amount you paid of lae fee due to that. Writ down the name of the agent who promised it to you and the request number

Ex Agent: That's a good summary of it, except that normally there wouldn't be any late fees, since they've changed it so that late fees shouldn't appear on the One Bill for that first month. If they do, it can be credited.

A few thoughts:

- All Bell TV CSRs are trained on Bell OneBill CSM (or at least they were at Convergys Winnipeg),
- CSG account # begin with 8455,
- my parents (in Winnipeg) still receive a legacy bill from Bell TV.
- the push to OneBill migration is for new customers and those living in bundleable areas; I don't think that Manitoba and Saskatchewan are priorities.

Bell Alliant customers actually have lost discounts when moved over to 1 Bill (as OP inferred)
No there is no way to reverse this

Legacy customer here in Wpg and my Nov & Dec bills were switched over to OneBill with the new 14 digit account number.
