Bell needs a favorites package.

i don't know if they really need something like Canada Digital Advantage any more...the "common" cable package that people are used to having is about $55/month and gives you channels 2-72 or something like that...our package is $55 and gives you a ton more channels, digital music stations, timeshifting and customized programming.

no more competitive that BEV is...they are basically the same price, but have NO HD offering and not nearly as many channels to choose from...also, you get Bronze, Silver or Gold...and you can add TMN to any package...that's it...you might as well keep cable, as they give the "Here's your channels" packaging as well.

What Bell needs is a true "pick & pay" package, such as "Pick 30 channels from any theme pack for $30". That would be true choice. Right now, all the channels I would like to have are spread across 14 theme packs...

Look's packaging is ok but the reality is the company has almost completely imploded.

If you really only want analog service, cable has flexibility; it's just that once you add a digital box you get so much more it seems crazy to stay with "just analog". Rogers doesn't promote, but will still sell, "basic Cable" plus any of the three original analog tier channel sets. It's just more cost effective to take current packaging.

I value your posts here and am not going to get into a p'match with you over Look and BEV.

If I just wanted basic's I would be spending 12 bucks at Videotron. But, like most people here, I want more.

But, like I have been saying. I am not paying BEV a 100 bucks a month anymore.

Since I got an HDTV set, I (me, personally, not my wife) watch nothing else but HDTV. Not interested in much else.

Since I can get "MOST" of what I want in HDTV free OTA, why would I want to continue on with BEV anymore?

On your side though, not having RDS in HD next hockey season will , well ....

That option would be excellent. Didn't Rogers have that at one time...or do they still?

I don't know about Rogers, but Videotron in Quebec offers such as option: Pick 20 channels for $20 or 30 channels for $30. With this option, you can pick any channel from the entire digital lineup, no strings attached. A lot of people I know in Qc have jumped ship to Videotron because of this plan, even though they liked EVU hardware better.

debating something doesn't mean we are getting into a p'match...we are both adults and can present our rebuttals in a civilized way.

you are fortunate enough to live in a area well serviced by OTA, let alone, HD OTA.

in London, you can the local channel (not HD) and maybe CBC, a global station and perhaps one or two more but most likely poor quality reception...i don't think you can pull ANY HD OTA in London.
