I've just been looking at the latest bell international programming pdf brochure, and from what I

I think if you increase the size to 200% you will find on the bottom of page one that is for new customers only.:(

i am a new customer. my service was activated on dec 31 2008. i hope i can get these prices

Not according to my friend, he's a long time customer since 2000, and when he called, he was told that's for new customers only. He was also told that the price (new) is only for the duration for the contract, and will be back to higher price after the contract is over. However, when I read the pamphlet I cannot see any wording regarding this as a "promo" offer though. (see my Fairchild price thread for more).

Your friend has been a long time customer, picard1 had been a customer for 1 day....

I am also a new customer (Dec 8, 08) which is not as recent as picard and this news would be good news for me if I can get these prices. So for you to qualify, you really have to be a new customer as of Jan 1st, 2009?

Another question: what if you subscribe to an international channel for 1 to 2 months and then unsubscribe? Could I get the new price the next time I decide to subscribe again? Cause technically that would be a new subscription. Or is it tied to you being a new customer?

oh well everyone, i can live with it.... its not the end of the world. I still like bell and overall i am happy with my current prices. Maybe when i get my first bill i will call them just to see.

In my recent ebill for the month of February, I'm getting the new rate. I'm currently subscribed to one international channel (GMA Pinoy TV) and when I signed up back in December the rate was $15. The new rate for "new subs" is $7 for this channel.

Basically, my ebill shows that for February I'm paying $7 for this channel and they also credited me another $7 for January. There was no credit for December. Somewhat of a good news, I guess.

Is there anyone else getting this "deal?"

My contract was up, I just renewed my deal with Bell and was able to get the new pricing for international channels. Did this through retentions...

update:

Bell is giving me the lower pirces. I didn't have to call or anything.
On my bill it has the reduced prices with "promotional" beside them. I hope it lasts.

I also went through the retentions department and got the lower rate on my Russian package (from $35 to $10 per month). The CSR told me that the promotion was for new customers only... but since I was with Bell for so long (>10 years) they would be happy to do this for me.

I actually the south asian combo for free for a year...ATN and Sony.....thats a pretty sweet deal....

I used to have dnetwork in the states....three indian channels cost 24.99...
