Bell losing channels

What the heck is going on with Bell tonight? At 12 midnight PDT I lost channels 850 and 822 plus others. They must be doing some sort of satellite maintenance because the EPG for 850 shows "Off Air" while 822 is supposed to be showing David Letterman. Why can't they do this maintenance at a time when less people are watching? I would think that 1 or 2 in the morning would be a better time.
 
They are probably testing and/or swapping over some of the channels to the new Nimiq 4 satellite.
 
Tonight they did the same thing with Saturday Night Live. Half an hour into the show the channel disappears. Why not do the channel swap starting at 1AM PDT or 4AM EDT?
 
No matter what time it is..sombody is probably watching. Only a few more nights and the problem should be resolved.
 
They could do it when a popular show like SNL is not on. One hour later would not have made much of a difference to the technicians doing the channel swap.
 
I don't know about Global. NBC was off the air, but it didn't matter because I was using the buffer.
