Bell HD PQ - Has it improved?

You have to be blind not to notice the difference in quality when the feed was cutting out. Or there is something wrong with your tv set up. The game looked fantastic on CTV this afternoon.

Biggest difference I saw was the appearance of the gray bars on the sides of the screen...but hey...thanks for diagnosing my eyesight problem.

I also watched the Arizona game via Bell and noticed the switching to SD. As I live in Nashville I then changed to my Comcast box and got the identical thing.

It was a Fox TV issue and it happens a lot with them. I have also come to the conclusion that the Fox announcers won the right to work the game based on a raffle. They are absolute morons and have no idea how to use English Grammar.

Hmmm pixilization, Could it be the bad weather?

I hardly see any issues and I PVR many many shows.

24, The CSIs, Fringe, LOST (woo hoo: starts this week), Heroes, Prison Break, Simpsons, Family Guy... I can go on forever here LOL

Anyways, I've been a sub for just over a year and I don't find/see half the issues I read on this board.

Last year was another story though. The weather was horendous and I found myself clearing the dish 3 or 4 times. I've been pretty lucky so far and haven't had to bust out the long broom this year. This is weather though, and not PQ issues.

I think you guys obsess over little things and you begin to see things that aren't there. My guess is the HD novelty has worn off. Don't expect any picture you see to look as good as when you first got HD.

Are your TVs calibrated? Too much sharpness will bring in detail that isn't supposed to be there. My TV had grainy little black particles before I got mine done. Go on google and type "home theatre setup Toronto," and a few good names will pop up. Then there's 57's service; Great reviews for his work.

For starters set your TV to cinema, movie, mild or something along those lines.

Second... stop obsessing

If that fails... come over to my house... Since my TV doesn't display any of the pixilization, artifacts, softness, audio drop-outs or generally poor quality everyone on this post complains about.

Let's save our rants for more important things: like the price increase...

:D
