Anyone else notice sportsnet is missing the bass channel? Its 5.0 not 5.1, really strange.

Also kenny vs spenny i pvr'd the new episode that aired or premeired monday i think, it was in dolby digital on showcase hd, I went to watch it and there was no center channel, so therefore I could not get any talking from the show.

This is somewhat absurd and little things that bell should not have happening as a professional satellite company.
 
The problems could have been with the broadcaster, especially if the channels are OK now and other channels were OK. Service providers typically simply passthrough the various signals, although BTV does convert 1080i to 720P.

As 57 says, not Bell's fault. Showcase HD has been missing the center channel a number of times. It's their screwup.
