I just bought Bell 6120 HD receiver and subscribed to their service. I also have FTA receiver.

I have 33" dish with Invacom Circular/Linear Ku 0.3 dB Quad LNBF QPH-031 , I can combine the Circular & Linear polarity outputs into one coaxial cable going into my house using DISEqC switch.

Here is my question, is it possible to split the signal with multiswitch, in the house, and from there to run two cables, one to my fta receiver and the another one to my Bell receiver, which is in a different room.

I want to use the motorized dish to find the satellites and not running any other cables into the house.

Also is the 6120 receiver able to control motorized dish.

Thank you.

Call Bell and have them install a proper fixed dish. It is confusing to use the a motorised disg with a fixed dish system. BEV receivers cannot control the motorised dish.

I'd be very hesitant to run motor control through a multiswitch. The currents used have been known to blow out Diseqc switches quite easily.

Since the QPH-031 has two sets of outputs, I think the only proper way to hook both receivers to one dish is to have separate coax runs. The FTA receiver would do motor control through one coax run and the Bell receiver would be along for the ride on the other! Just remember to park the dish at one of the Nimiq birds on a regular basis or you'll lose you IPG info.

I guess I have to run another coax from my second Lnb output and use the FTA to point the dish to right bird for my Bell receiver.
