Being in an open-relationship on facebook - is is a joke :S?

This guy i've had a massive crush on for ages has put on his facebook thats he's in an open-relationship with a girl he knows from his sports class. I think he gets on quite well with this girl and i've seen comments about them being husband and wife, and they're allways messing around. I'm not sure whether they are actually going out now. At first i believed it, but now i know an open relationship is where you can have other people involved in it, i'm not too sure. But i thought it could mean they are just starting to date but i don't know...
 
'Open relationship' is a euphemism, just another way of saying, 'I can't commit, and want to sh@g about' :P

My ex once mentioned us having an 'open relationship' because he 'didn't want to be the only person I slept with.' Or, more likely, he wanted out so he could have his cake and eat it too.

I don't trust people who are after this type of so-called 'relationship' Steer clear.
 
probably just good friends.. I have been fb engaged as a joke before.. Just ask him out and later inquire about the relationship if you actually like him once you get to know him better.
