Beginning Actor: Drama graduate getting an agent?

As a beginning actor, just graduated from university/institution/etc (certificate or degree), would it be better to get a smaller agent or a larger agent?

(what I mean by a smaller agent is one who managers not a lot of people whereas a massive agency does)

I've heard that if you get an agent who managers not an ideal number of people they are meant to get you better jobs (or the job) because they are focusing on less people, therefore allowing them to focus on individual actors.
Whereas I've heard that bigger agencies that have many many clients will not focus too much on their clients individually.

Is this true? I would also love suggestions of really good agencies! Thanks for the help
