Im 14 & Have a real passion for photography. I Also have alot of experience in graphic design & using photo editing software. (Despite my age)

Im looking to buy a digital camera with manual features (manual focus ect..) but im having problems finding one under £100 (roughly $164)

I dont know weather i would be better off getting a Point and Shoot camera or an SLR.

I need a camera with that will take clear pictures (pictures that dont look too grainy) But because i would like to cut back on costs as much as possible, if the picture quality is not that good i would be able to fix pictures using photo editing software.

Any suggestions and advice would be highly appreciated!

Thanks

as jenny suggested..there are cheaper cameras other than SLR's, which give pefect results. Try getting canon G10, experience with it and after that see if you want to purchase a DSLR.

Well if I were you I would try to save up some more money and get a good point and shoot, SLR's are pricey and they wont come in handy until you go pro. or you have a real passion that you want to pursue as a hobby and such. I bought a cheepo $150 camera before and the pictures were horrible when the reviews said it was great. I you can a sony cybershot really cheap depending on which kind it is, and they take pretty nice pictures.
Good luck and I hope you gather some more info. and not make the wrong choice like I did ;]
