I started to work as a teller at a bank recently. I am training right now but i don't have any financial back ground. I have my individual account and I have used checks for a couple times. I have gotten checks from people I babysit. But that is all I interact with a bank in my life...

So why would people use joint account or bank account? Do you think this question is too stupid to ask at the training???

Joint accounts are just accounts that are shared by multiple people. Usually husband and wife will share a bank account so that they both have a share in paying household monthly expenses.

There are no stupid questions in teller training... That's your time to learn as much as you can learn so that you have the knowledge when it actually comes time to use it...
