My recruiter told me to cut my hair before i get to boot camp, because they do a shity job while your there. My question is how short do i have to get it? Can it touch the back collar, or does it have to be just above the collar and not touch?
I really don't wanna cut my hair that short.
And why can't i just leave it long and pull it and pin it back.
Does it matter?

Boot camp for the navy, if that makes a difference:)

cut it above your collar... the last thing you want is to screw around with your hair while in basic training. You also don't wan to give your drill instructors a reason to mess with you.

Jackie, get a cute haircut like Katie Holmes when she had her Suri cut. That's the proper length & remember, you'll have 2 months in bootcamp to grow it out if you don't like it.

This is perfect: http://www.short-hair-style.com/images/katie_holmes_hair_01.jpg

WHY IS THIS A QUESTION FOR HER RECRUITER, they dont make the regulations..

you do not have to cut your hair, if you dont want to, dont, i would suggest leaving it long, its easier to maintain, if it short, its going all over the place, looks messy and unprofessional, even if its for training.
its too east to put it in a bun..

my hair has always been to my waistline, i have been in for more than 10 yrs and cut it just once to my bra strap

If you do decide to cut it, yes it has to be above the collar, cannot touch

tie it up into a bun make sure it doesent mess up tho.

can u answer my question

This is a question for the recruiter. No one on this site can give you a reliable answer.

Each armed force has different grooming standards. You will have to cut your hair to fit within the parameters they provide. I would see if you can find those standards on the Navy website or your recruiter should be able to give you the guidelines.

if its Army, cut bald is the basic training standard. May or may not be the same for other branches.
