I have both problems, allergies and problems with my neck, that can cause dizziness and balance problems. The only reason I thought of allergies is because of the head pressure and ear problems. The ear canals and sinuses swell and this causes the head pressure and then the dizziness, so if you can find a nasal spray or ask a pharmacist what works for the sinuses swelling, this also helps with the fluid in the ears and head pressure and dizziness.

My symptoms were helped right away with the nasal spray, but that's only if this is the problem. The other main cause is something most docs overlook as the cause of dizziness and is actually a common cause, and that's a problem with the neck. Any problem with the neck can cause dizzy spells, and that's just with the neck muscles, it doesn't have to be a something you can see on x-ray. A strained muscle in the neck, which I have had a few times, can cause dizzy spells, balance problems, headaches, and this is most often overlooked as a cause, but you can tell yourself if this may be it, by pressing firmly and massaging your own neck, and shoulder blades, if this is the problem, you will feel an ache, cause a dizzy spell, head pressure etc.

Tones013. I live in the west suburbs of Chicago, and I suggest you go to the Cook County Hospital for an evaluation - where all people without insurance go. You will certainly wait long hours to see a doctor, but you would probably get a better diagnosis
than opinions from us here. Plus s free prescription - if your income level qualifies you.

Kasey443 thanks a lot. I have had chronic neck pain for a while. It is actually in the trapezius muscle area, and it hits me hard sometimes. I never thought my dizziness was connected to the pain, but I will certainly mention it to my doctor.
