well it has been 3 years today since my TLIF surgery l5-s1, and here I am back on the boarRAB, and an ice pack on my back, and a missed night out with the girls because I can't stand that long without my back hurting. I was diagnosed with spondy, and had surgery. right after, and the last 2 years have been really good, more pain free days then pain. I was also told I have scoliosis, but its not too bad yet. I am only 31, and want to have a normal life!! when I was on the boarRAB, they were EXTREMELY helpful, and don't know what I would have done without them! it even went as far as helping me plan my wedding (which I got married 3 months after my surgery!!) so I am hoping you can help again!!
I have a few questions:
any suggestions to help me lose some weight, I have cut back on the eating, but the working out part is what gets me. I have a an elliptical, tried biking and walking, its not that I don't want to do these things, but its my legs that KILL me after, its always been my left leg, I always have pain going down my butt into my left leg.
which leaRAB me to my next question: should I be having this much pain down my leg? and I have a ton if burning pain in my right shoulder blade, is this because I am so crooked?
does yoga help anyone?
my dr doesn't want to see me for another year, but I don't know if the leg pain is from me trying to work out more, or a new injury. he did say I could call if I ever had pain, but I have a high tolerance for it (trust me I am not working out everyday to injure myself, so I know its not from that!!)
I have also been somewhat diagnosed with some form of rheumatoid arthritis. which I am seeing a dr for, and its helping in my other joints, but not my back.
anyway- if there is any advice, or suggestions, it would be greatly appreicated. I remeraber getting so much out of this 3 years ago.
thanks so much!!
