Ive been up since 4am.

My husband is not here, Gage wont stop crying.

They called the wrong wife. There was indeed an Ybarra on that bus. But not mine. His wife didnt know, so he was alone.

The head frg lady followed me to the car carrying gage, appologising the whole way...

Words cant even describe how depressing it was. They played Etta Jame's "at last" and I watched all these wives and husbands and kids hugging, and gage and I kept looking...

So now I have no idea at all when he will be home.

fuck..

Aw, I'm sorry Lyn.

Like JL said, see if you can get in touch with the Chain of Command and see what's going on. Try to get an explanation on the mixup as well.

That's kind of fucked up. You'd think they would pay more attention to the information in DEERS.

:hug2:

The head frg lady happens to be the commander's wife. She assured me he would find out and to call her if I needed anything. Im hoping maybe we can score a few extra days of leave or something....

Gage is so upset he didnt even want pancakes or ice cream for breakfast, I even offered to go through the carwash and he turned me down.

Aw, poor baby.

I hope you find out something, Lyn. Really I do.

Still though, I find it odd that they didn't pay closer attention to the information in DEERS.

;1000920']Highlighted is the root of your problem. Civilian wives "helping" and sticking their nose into military matters, and causing confusion in the end.

Noo...she was trying to help the aftermath. It was Rear Detachment that called me to tell me my husband was coming home today. She was going to let her husband know so that he could make sure that they didnt eff up again.

edit: the frg has nothing to do with letting us know about return dates.
