I decided since they aren't selling for crap anymore that I am going to keep it. And since I don't have somewhere by my TV to put it, I decided to build an entertainment stand/center. Just big enough to hold my direct tv, ps3, and my surround sound system. I know so many people could have done way better but this is the first thing I really ever built and I'm overall pleased with the outcome. Think I might add some molding on the bottom to make it look like it was built into the home. Here are the PICS:


Of course I spent about 2 more hours putting on the joint compound...


And after sanding my balls off I finally ended up with this:
 
cost me $80 for all the 2X4's and plywood. Already had joint compound, paint (came with the house). My wife didn't have faith in me, but I made her believe...
 
originally I was gonna put two shelves, but I forgot that I might need to pull the TV out, so I had to make room for my fingers (bye bye second shelf).

Lol, I am just teasing, but anyway. I have all 3 next gen consoles, and I have a new plasma which is wall mounted, so i bought a nice stained coffee table to put it all on.

Pics later, but it looks pretty nice.

I was going to go with a more modern looking stand/shelves, but the wood matches nicely with my crown molding/trim.
