Police: O'Malley Daughter Appeared "Unconscious"

A Baltimore City Police report indicates Governor O'Malley's 18-year-old daughter Tara had "appeared unconscious" when police and paramedics found her last night near the Inner Harbor.

Police say an officer on foot patrol spotted Tara O'Malley lying on the sidewalk in the 700-block of Light Street. Paramedics were called. Her condition was determined to be "non-life threatening and stable."

She was taken to Harbor Hospital where she was treated and released a few hours later.

Sources tell WBAL News that the teen, who is about to graduate from Notre Dame Prep, had attended a house party last night in Towson. She went to the Inner Harbor with an 18-year-old male friend to board a boat.

A citizen who flagged down the officer said Tara O'Malley appeared to be intoxicated.

O'Malley's mother, First Lady and Baltimore City District Court Judge Katie O'Malley has issued a statement calling the incident a "family matter" and "teachable moment."

"Martin and I would like to thank our friends, family, and concerned Marylanders who have expressed their sincere well wishes since Tara became ill and received medical treatment after attending a graduation celebration last night. Tara returned home last night, and is feeling much better.
"As we deal with this family matter and treat it as a teachable moment, we thank the public for respecting our privacy and encourage all parents and teenagers to be safe this graduation season."

Maybe just concerned parent who didn't want to totally embarrass his daughter. I don't suppose conservatives would have done the same?

Like how the brother of the same Martin O'Malley was the one who signed the complaint about a home owner who put a Bob Erlich sign in his front yard, and because of that "complaint", he was forced to take it down.

This Governor just loves to play politics like this.

So why come up with the bullshit statement "Tara became ill and received medical treatment after attending a graduation celebration last night."? Why not say what actually happened ... Tara passed out drunk in public when she was at a party and she got drunk, in violation of state law of which I am the Governor of.
 
You know why. Nobody would ever do that. To protect your family, you don't humiliate them.

This had nothing to do with being a concerned parent, this was all about maintaining mommy and daddy's political image.


A truly concerned parent would be concerned that their 18 year old is out heavily drinking illegally. In that case, let them sit in a jail cell overnight.
