Heard a lot of good things about this film - it's about 2 guys who fall in love on a council estate or something. Anybody else seen it? I'm thinking of trying to see it, i notice it's on Film4 tonight but i have to be up early the next day so won't be able to get round to watching it.
 
Saw it at the cinema 10 years ago, bought the video and also seen a theatrical performance of it. One member of the cast - the one that plays Ste, went on to be a regular in the Bill and the mother of the other one became a regular in something else (Bad Girls possibly, but I may be mistaken). Part of it goes to a gay bar in south west London which isn't a gay bar anymore, and Dave Lynn appears (just) on its stage.

The mother was in Bad Girls and can now be seen in EastEnders. Ste is/was in the Bill. Very good film, tape it! Film 4 seem to be having a gay theme to late night movies, so there will be more good ones for you to catch as well.

Film4 are also showing My Beautiful Launderette, Prick Up Your Ears, Maurice and Victim over the next few nights. There's also some new gay programming (some of which I think clashes with the films) on Channel 4; it's all to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act 1967.
