Beaming problems

I am trying to beam some things from my old Handspring Visor to my new T3. It initially finds the T3 and both indicate that the data is being beamed/received, but after a couple of seconds it says the beam has been interrupted and it will not reacquire. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Problem rings a loud bell. I really can't bring to mind the solution at present I'm afraid, but I will think about it and let you know if I remember.

For now, have you tried a soft reset on both and disabled any keyboard drivers?

MEE TOO!!! I have a Handspring Visor and cannot beam from it to my new Tungsten T3. I've emailed Palm's tech support, and just got a generic message back telling me to make sure my Palm's Beam Receive is turned on, and detailed steps on how to do that. Oh well, so much for tech support! Let me know if ya found out a way to beam stuff between the Palm Tungsten T3 and the Visor!

Did you both try the soft resets?

I have an idea- what are you trying to beam?
Also can you try beaming from within FileZ, I presume you are currently using the beam function in the launcher....

I tried the soft resets. I honestly don't remember now what I was trying to beam. I know I tried a couple of small apps, games or something. When I started having trouble I tried several different files just to see if it was a problem with the file. I'll try filez over the weekend. Thanks.

I can't even beam contacts. I get a little window on both PDAs, the Handspring and the T3, but they both just cancel, saying 'beam interrupted' pretty much at the same time. Please help. if ya can!

Instead of beaming, you might have to try using the import/export utility in Palm Desktop.
