BB8130 Flashed to Cricket problems

I had my BB 8130 flashed to cricket from alltel it still has the alltel os on it. Please excuse my vocabualry I am new to this game. After about a month my radio keeps turning off. I have to manually turn it back on the sms text or voice. Is there a way to fully flash this blackberry or to fix this? PLEASE HELP this newbie!

just hook it up to blackberry desktop manager... it will tell u if there's an update usually

Compare that to the latest supported version on the Alltel site. Alltel has been taken over by Verizon in my area.

Ok I am in the process now of downloading Desktop Software and I am on the ALLTEL website looking for the updates. Now when I do this it shouldnt make my phone inoperable should it. You know what it doesnt matter I really dont know what I am doing so I appreciate all the Help

No, it won't as long it's supported for your phone. The Alltel site should show the latest release for that phone for the OS like the Verizon site does. Once u d/l the OS install it to ur PC. Delete the vendor XML file. Open up BB Desktop Manager. Plug in ur BB and then update will be detected and install on ur BB. Do not touch the BB until the update has totally gone through.

Ok I downloaded the 4.5 version but its an .exe file if i run it will my phone still work through cricket?

Did u check to see which OS version ur running now? OK, I see v4.5 is supported for ur device per https://www.blackberry.com/DownloaRAB/browseSoftware.do;jsessionid=Hv73-31KpiZKcNplNvRvFg** Run the .exe file. It'll install to ur PC. The vendor XML file will be in a folder that was created once u run the .exe file. Yes, ur phone will still work with Cricket. This just updates ur OS that may help to fix ur radio issue.

ok thanks I'll get on that now. I tried to do it using desktop manager 4.7 and a different file and didnt work. I will install DM 4.3 and then os 4.5 delete the vender file then run BB desktop. Then it just updates it for me eh? Thanks for all your help man. One more question is it possible to full flash these BB to make use of crickets internet?

BB DM 4.7 worked fine for me when I updated my OS. Yes, they can be full flashed for MMS/WAP.

for some reason when I connect to BB desktop it does not update the app version. Any suggestions
