BB Pearl 3G versus Samsung Impact

I'm getting a work phone with Virgin Mobile this month and I've narrowed it down to these two phones. I already own a Moto Milestone, so I'm not necessarily going crazy over which one is the best smartphone (I know the Impact isn't smart). So which one would you guys choose?

BB pearl its a no brainer if its for work then you might need the email.

Thanks. I was leaning towards the pearl for that reason. But I have to say Im still impressed by the functionality of the Impact.

The Pearl 3G looks like a nice entry level Blackberry. It would be good for a second phone.

We have a shell in store on display that we've received just last week, but we knew about it since the start of may. After getting a feel for the shell, it seems more rugged than the previous model, and the touch-pad gives it a sleeker and more modern look (the trackball will be forever known as a growing pain to touch-pad/touch screen IMO). But my question is if Blackberry's new model is worth the change from my Milestone, and if Suretype is decent texting software (I haven't texted from a blackberry Pearl before).
