BB Kickstart coming to T-MO

i just went by that memo that was floating around the internet a couple of days ago. obviously 3G is gonna be both voice and data, it really wouldn't be possible to just have one, what i'm guessing tmobile meant is that they are pretty much gonna restrict data during 'phase one'. or at least, that is how i took it. tmobile is pretty notorious for restricting customers to things.

my question is, what if i went out and got the 9000 when it came out, or a N95, or (insert 3G phone here), would that still not let me use "3G speeds" for data when it was launched??

did any of that make sense at all??

Yeah that made sense. Yeah when a 3g phone is used it will work. The article was worded funny. But one of the articles thatwere floating around stated that voice and data would be used and right now voice is going to be used because we don't have a data device. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
 
so for now there are no 3g data devices?

does that mean no 3g devices period? or is there phone-only 3g devices?

sorry, just trying to understand.
 
to add just another question, lets say i get the nokia 6263 which is "3G ready", if i were to tether that to my laptop, would i then be getting the 3G speed??
 
If it is as thin as the 8120, then this will be a very sweet phone. Clam shells are good for pockets if they are thin like the Razr, but not if they are thick.

Also, does anyone else think that the trackball on the kickstart might leave marks or an imprint on the screen after some time? Kind of like how some laptops leave key marks on the screen from the keyboard pressing against it when closed.
 
the kickstart is goin to sell.....look at the pearl....it sold pretty well (heck) it sold more then it thought it would sell....so to have a nice flip.....i want to see this phone in action
 
Cant say i will get this one... I left the whole flip phone thing years ago and dont plan on going back but cant blame RIM for stepping into new waters, i guess i will have to wait for the BOLD

Don't care if it sells! This means nothing for 8320 users! I will never go back to suretype let alone a flip!?!? Ok my day is ruined now!!
