BB 7290 Device & Desktop Software

Can someone please tell me which version of the device software and which version of the desktop software I should be using? There are a number of choices on the Rogers site and I'm not sure which ones and what combination to use. Also, should I "wipe" the BB?

Background: I have a hand-me-down (Rogers branded) device so no manual, discs or anything. Just the Device and a wall charger. Popped the SIM card in from my (Rogers) phone and that works. I found that the usb cables from either my Casio EX-Z1000 camera or my Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS fit just fine. I have Windows Vista Home Premium on my computer and would like to sync with Rogers Yahoo! where I have 700+ Address/Contacts as well as all my Calendar Events.
 
I would load the latest version of the 7290 OS listed on the Rogers site and Desktop Manager 4.1 SP2 as I believe that is the one that has the update for Vista.
