Bazooka tubes aren't made to be loud as hell, they're made to be extremely efficient and to fit into small areas. They do produce pretty good sound for their size, but the fidelity, or quality of the sound is fairly averge. As was stated earlier, you need a brand to compare them to. In the whole spectrum of the sub market, they are pretty decent, but they are a very good buy for the money. If you're concerned about space than go ahead and get one, but if you want big boom, or accurate sound, I would go for something else such as a 10" sub in a ported box. 10" would still keep it small but can put out a big punch. It's a nice size to power ratio if you match the sub, box, and amp correctly. This is why Bazooka tubes work so well; the sub is engineered to be extremely efficient with the enclosure.
