Bayliss in 2011 on this "New Superbike" could be very interesting indeed. I know he's been a test rider for Ducati over the last year or so but why is he the one testing the new WSBK? It makes you wonder if he's making "His" bike for next year.

Sure would be nice if it could be made to happen. I guess he's not going to come back and win straight off (if indeed he does come back) - laptimes have come down since he last competed.
But it would bring the championship to life, wouldn't it? At a time when MotoGP is planning changes to restrict power, and allow production engines (some experts see this as risky), WSBK with Bayliss could really lift their stocks against the premier class.
As Ducati fans, dealing with the disappointment of this year's Ducati Superbike, and Stoner's return to his crashing habits, this could be just right.

Troy's recent test on the superbike produced a lap time just over a second a lap slower than the motoGP lap record at that same track.
He certainly hasn't slowed down!

Troy, although retired, never stopped racing. I believe he could come in and have an immediate impact on Ducati and WSBK as a whole. Since we are all instant gratification souls anyway we would probably take Carl back if he could sit on a bike again.
