Bay Area Storms

Wow, this is pretty crazy out here!

In California a big storm is passing over. It rained all day, quite hard, and it's expected to continue into next week. It's going to hit all down the coast, and we're just catching the fringe of it!

On the news it says 31 miles of power lines are out, just here in San Jose! My sister and I both got the day off work due to power outages.

The real brunt of the storm is going to be further north.

I hope everybody stays safe and dry!
 
yeah the rain hit LA at about 3PM today, strong winds too but no power outages. we've been needing a good rain for a while now though.

in before the 'well in canada its negative 5thousand degrees outside' post. :P
 
I live in a storm free part of the country, so even if the rest of my country is blown away, I stay happy and dry for most of the entire year.

What I don't understand though, is why is it that people who live in path of the storm stays there? How can they live with that? Their house gets smashed, they rebuild... smash, rebuild, smash rebuild... it's like a vicious cycle of nature.

I salute you though.....
 
This storm is about as big as the state of California itself. I also heard it's expected to be the worst one in a decade or so. I've already got two leaks, one which is rather annoying as it is right over my stove. Oh well, I'm happy to have a home.

Talking about the weather with my good friends makes me feel all warm inside.
 
Yup. Still raining right now. My friend just lost his power.

Oh well, I got to watch girls dance in the rain. Not all bad down in Cali.
 
Yeah this storm was crazy.. I was in the middle of it. The wind ranged from 30 50 miles an hour. Nothing happened here except a few dumped over garbage cans and my dog went out to the back yard to go pee and the wind picked her up.. That was crazy. She is only 4 pounds.
Hope everyone else is ok.
