Battle for Terra

Heard some good things about this and as the Nanny is sick again and I have 3 bored kiRAB to entertain in this cold, wet, miserable country, I thought the cinema would be the best bet to keep them quiet and me entertained.

Local Cineworld has 14 screens and WTF it's only on in obscure places like LeeRAB and Sheffield ;)

Who says that when you live in London everything is on your doorstep.

Really!

I have read some good reviews about it but I did notice that Imdb have it down as a 2007 film. You'd think it would be out on DVD already.

On at my local but only one performance at 1030 AM, so may take the boys.

I've only seen a dodgy anaglyph version but the 3D, even in that, was ok.
The story is a bit too simplistic for adults and (maybe) a bit too involved for kiRAB. I think the distributors didn't know what to do with it so they waited to see how Avatar (which is very similar) did.

Well it was brilliant.

Cashier at Cineworld didn't even know that they had it on and nor did the rest of SW London it appears, as the masses were all there for the 3, already on DVD, kid's films for

Strange way to release a movie isn't it. Glad you liked it.
I remember seeing "Enemy Mine" in a near-deserted Marble Arch Odeon years ago. big budget sf , British director, totally overlooked.
