My wife is due for a hardware upgrade on Rogers and she is looking for a phone that has really good battery life. All she does with the phone is texts alot and talks. She does not need a data plan in anyway.

Looking for some suggestions as to which phone would qualify to her standards.

Thanks in advance

Specifically, I am unsure, but usually, picking one without all the bells and whistles ( especially 3G and GPS features ) will greatly reduce your chances of upgrading to a power guzzling monster. Also, consider a smaller screen, as this should also help conserve power ( just thought I'd mention this seeing as most of todays phones are coming out with ultra large screens ;) ) .

i think it doesn't have to do with the kind of cellphone you have, sometimes the life of the battery depends on the features you are using, like the ringtone and message alert volume, the brightness of the screen, and also if you are using screen animation. sometimes proper charging really does matters...do you want to know how?

Consider a basic Nokia model...they usually aren't too bad with regards to battery life..

Well, if she is looking for a good battery life(first, you have to determine how many hours you want which depends on the phone model and the supplied battery!),then, one of the important things to remember is to follow the instructions with the new phone when you are charging battery for the first time! This is really important! After that, it is a matter of charging and using the phone(she can save on battery life by keeping her phone conversations short and sending and receiving sms, etc)

Regards:)

I think she needs to buy a battery that is original..not the imitation type..so many pirated batteries in the market today ..

Besides buying an original one. I suggest consider to charge the battery in order. Trust me it'll last.

I guess what she needs is a user friendly phone..and i recommend nokia..regarding battery's life ..you must buy in the designated store for that specific kind of brand(of your choosing of course) and must follow on the procedure on how to charge a battery.. in my case it takes only one to two hours to charge it...if it is more than that..then for sure the battery maybe damage...:)
