Battery life comparaison

When I try to decide what phone to get, I look at some things that seem to be overlooked by many reviews, including how much lag the phone has, the speed of the camera/shutter and real world battery life. If you look at simply the advertised talk time or just the size of the battery (a 900mAh S60 phone with EDGE is great, a 1190mAh phone with Windows Mobile and wifi is complete crap)

So I'd like to know how much real world battery life time you guys are getting on your different phones. So far I have yet to hear of a phone that beats my 8-months old N73 which I can leave a full 5 days without charging with low-medium usage. Yet I hear of people with the E65 or N95 say they need to recharge every day or 2.

Heck thats pretty good I charge all my phones every night so thats good news to me that gives me even more reason why I am getting this phone thanks

My 2 month old N73 can live for about two days longer than your 8 month old

Yeah overall N73's battery life is very good for an N-series.

N73 = 11 hours music play back (screen fully dimmed)
n91 = 8 hours music paly back (screen half dimmed, CANT SEE ANYTHING WHEN TI IS FULLY DIMMED)

Wait..huh? 7 days of battery life with N73? The only way I can get that is to pull out my sim card, and let my phone sit there...Do you actually call with that phone? Mine only lasts 2 days.....

BTW, whatever Nokia S60 I get hasn't lasted more than 2 day with moderate usage.

same here, charged my phone at least once a day. becuae of intensive music listening. my headphone is already on and music is always on. i cant live without some music going on in my head.

^ I hear you on that, one thing that i do like about the N95 battery is that it charges in like 1, 1.5 hours. From 0-100. That's the fastest I have ever seen.

Again that's what battery time figures don't count. If the phone needs to be recharged "daily", does it mean I can use it as a music player, play 8 hours of music and have it last? Probably not. For me a phone that can't be used heavily for 8h and last the full day isn't acceptable, and if it can do that then it probably can do 5+ days with light usage. I can't imagine a phone that would just die after just an hour of music, video playback or browsing time (I don't actually talk much). My N73 can do that and that's why I'd like to move to either thinner phones or more powerful (wifi plz) phones, but I'm reluctant to.
