Hey there!
I have a nokia 6230b, and I noticed that my battery life is very short compared to my 3595. I usually get 1-2 days at the most. I have bought 3 new batteries and the best I get is 48 hours. The old ones give only 8 hours or so. What could be eating up my battery ? Is it bluetooth? I have read this phone is supposed to last at least a week with a new battery... by the way I only speak like 20 mins a day at the MOST. thanks!!!!

It's a common knowledge that Nokia's cellphone battery and I've heard a lot about 6230's battery life problem. Do you try switching from original 32MB MMC to 512MB/1G? I've read in a forum before that by doing this it might reduce the battery life.

The battery in your Nokia 6230 (the BL-5C) has 850 mAh - this number is a measurement of talk time and standby time. With this, you are looking at right around 2 hours and 45 minutes of talk time and 43-44 hours of standby time. If you are not getting this, it may be a faulty battery. Bluetooth devices definitely drain battery life. One tip for charging your battery: Li-Ion batteries prefer frequent partial charges rather than being run all the way down and charged fully back up again - this should help your battery life.

Some ways to save battery is to turn off bluetooth, and decrease backlight timer to increase standby time.

I think you should turn off the bluetooth. With this you get increase in battery life.

And also remember to get your phone when it is done charging. Overcharging also ruins the battery life.
