Battery drained overnight

Hey fellows, just a simple "give-your-opinion" question.
I charged my phone last night and took it from the charger at about 9:30 PM. I used it for 2 sms's and a 1 minute phonecall, so no big usage. When I got up this morning the battery was almost empty and was giving me warning beeps. Now, I know the n95 BATTERY is a big failure, but.... I mean what the hell..) It is not the first time it happened , and it happened to N73 aswell. Any clue on this matter?
Thanks.

Do you have your phones in a carrying case of some sort? Sometimes a button is depressed and it keeps the phone active throughout the night and it sucks the battery down to nothing. I had a case that would slightly trigger a button on my 8801 and it would take the already awful battery down to nothing in an hour. Otherwise I'm not sure.

Mail for exchange doesn't work on the N95 when I had the phone, but anyways.............if your phone is new and you haven't cycled through the charges, than it might be possible that the battery will drain within 12 hours. I know mine did.

WiFI? I've accidently left mine on last thing at night and (not) woke up to a flat battery (I use my phone as my alarm clock)

The only way that thing can drain over night from a full charge is, to have something running on it.

A couple of times on my w810, I had the walkman player on but the song paused and the battery went to the red level. So even though it was not playing the song the player was still active and using power.

I wonder what some people are doing to their N95s, I have not had a battery problem yet.

I know with heavy heavy use the battery will be hard pressed to last the whole day, but this ain't no featureless RAZR.

It's your WIFI connection. It's most likely set to always look for a connection, which is the biggest battery killer for N-Series phones. You can turn that setting off so you can manually check for a WIFI connection only when you need to.

mail for exchange will work on the n series, you just have to use the older version, the newest version doesn't run on the n series, but the older version works just fine. i am using it now on my n73.

I leave mail for exchange connected for approx 12 hours a day, and the active EDGE connection (not the m4e, I believe) really drains the battery!
