Hey guys,

According from a report from LA's biggest radio station the guy who plays batman (Christian Bale) in the new film is getting hassled from Warner Brothers and the guys who are behind James Bond.

Warner Brothers US reported Batman Begins made a huge $43m in its Opening Weekend and have now decided to remake all the previous batman movies.

The people behind James Bond are after Christian Bale to play the next 007 and WB are trying to sign him up to play Batman is all the remakes, Bale is not locked into a contract with WB to do any other films so he's free to choose his fate after all he is a Brit.

Who will he choose 007 or Batman ?

Hello, Bale is signed/contracted for more batman films, there not remakes btw, it's a reboot of the franchise and completely seperate from the other movies, I've heard Bond casting is still being debated and bales name hasn't popped up, last I heard it was the guy from layer cake and the guy from Nip and tuck in the running for bond.. :)

Yeah as far as I know Christain Bale is signed up for 2 more Batman films and the rumoured Batman Vs Superman film as well. So there is no chance of him playing Bond in the next 10 years!
Also Gremmers is right as the new Batman films are not remakes as they have just restarted the franchise!

I think Bale would be wicked as Bond and as much as I like Julian macmahon hes american therefore it just wouldn't be right to cast him in the role.

BTW sorry to be really picky but its just 'Nip Tuck' not Nip and Tuck!!! Sorry again but for some reason it just gets right on my wick when people gat it wrong, Grrrr! :p

The first half of the film is strongly based on a three part Batman comic detailing his origins ie. who trained him, the 'missing' years etc. The characters may have been changed but it's roughly the same.
Those three comics were written by Sam Hamm.

The rest of the film has bits and pieces of the comics. eg. Batman: Year One, The Cult etc.
Wasn't the 'insane' gas kinda like what the Joker used in the first Batman?

Batman Begins is more like 'the emperors new clothes' .
Imo. :)

I'd just woken up, think I can be excused for my spelling mistake? I know he's originally Australian, but he's practically a yank now. Either way still wouldn't be right to cast him as Bond ;)

Of course you can be excused. But you can't go ranting and raving at someone for making a mistake when you are doing no better.

It just doesn't work that way.

Ah sorry my mistake then :) i cant wait to see Batman vs Superman its one of those films people have been waiting a very long time to see. Lol i wanted to see it back in 1994 there were rumors it was in the making stage obviously not lol hopefully soon :D

Meh...As much as I like Batman and Superman I hope a VS movie never comes to light, These VS movies are never anygood, and I think if this particular one came about it'd bugger up the whole point of rebooting the Batman franchise to it's dark avenger roots, The synopsis I'd heard for the VS movie sounded abit dodgy anyway Batman thinks Superman killed his girlfriend roll on fights to appease the pop corn eating masses" no thanks!, I'd rather Superman VS Batman stayed in comic format and that animated movie...And sorry Jocal21 :p 'Nip Tuck' :D

I never said Bale was American!!

Is that really where he's from?!! Thats where I was born and grew up!! In fact my parents live there now!!

BTW D Sizzle, FYI I wasn't ranting and raving, it was meant in good humour. Im not really that condescending!!

Yes Christian Bale is from Haverfordwest.
There is no way Bale would jump ship from Batman to Bond.
Why would you move from something that has a lot of interest and potential, and has made him a very well known star instead of moderately known to a series of films that are once again dying on their feet?

Remaking the Burton Batman films is an interesting idea if a tad unneccesary. Though there was a nice look going on I think just about all of Tim Burton's films are really uneven and never really hang together (apart from Ed Wood, that is fantastic) and Planet of The Apes is just poo.

I think the one of the biggest problems with the idea of Batman versus Superman is the fact that Batman Begins eliminated anything remotely fantastical from the franchise. If Batman meets Superman it changes the franchise quite considerably because now he suddenly live in a world of flying aliens with x-ray vision who can only be harmed by green meteor rocks (alright the meteor part was never part of the original Superman mythos but I've been watching too much Smallville). As other people have mentioned part of the beauty of Batman Begins was that it could theoretically happen, bringing anything mystical into the franchise would undermine this.
