Batman Begins Sequel

I am afraid I couldn't help myself and have I read the whole plot on a movie spoiler site. :o

Not too spoilerific but
I am pleased that it seems that Gordon gets much much more to do in TDK than in BB. IMO Gary Oldman was criminally underused in that film.

Lots of angsty stuff for Lieutenant Gordon which I am glad about because Gary Oldman does angsty so well.
 
Yup, it's an old photo of Conrad Veidt who was in a movie in 1928 called The Man Who Laughs. The film, or perhaps that photo itself, was the inspiration for the Joker originally.

It's funny when people get excited about this photo- the guy has been dead since 1943!!

(Don't feel down though, it's been in several national newspapers as 'Heath Ledger as the Joker')
 
:yawn: I hate it when people blame things on us kiRAB. I am 17 years old, therefore in this 'MTV generation'. I actually think it is the best film I have ever seen, so don't categorise please. :) Heath Ledger was amazing, truely deserves an Oscar for this performance. The film was full of twists and turns and I never really knew what to expect to happen next. Near enough PERFECT movie. :)
 
You don't have to know someone personally to be a fan. And being a fan typically means that you care when the person you are a fan of dies. Especially when they die so suddenly, in the prime of their life. And when they've just given what's being called the best performance of their career but not live long enough to see everyone's reaction to it...

Yeh I saw this one last night too. I is definately IMO the best comic-book film followed closely by Batman Begins. I won't ruin anything, the film was actually ruined for most of the audience as a disabled guy had a fit just after half way through the film :S
I can't say you can and cannot watch a film, everyone is entitled, but I just wish he's parents or social workers hadn't chosen the advanced previews to bring him along!.
Luckily the cinema gave out free tickets to everyone and ofcourse the 3d poster.
I will certainly be watching this again soon, great film.
Oh and what really makes it stand out is Ledger's performance (as others have said) and the cinematography, you notice a higher budget straight away based on camera movement alone.
 
Then taking those things out must have been a good idea, no matter how nice they may have seemed. Because one of the main compliments I've heard about the film, from reviewers who have seen the final cut in this past week, is about the pacing. Reviewers are saying that even though its 2 1/2 hours, it doesn't drag at all. If that other stuff had been left it... it probably would have.

That stuff will look great on a Blu-Ray/DVD extras section, or maybe even an edited "Director's Cut" (hopefully on a disk where you can play both the theatrical AND longer versions instead of having to choose). But they seem to have made the right choice for the theaters.
