What??? That's one of the most played clips of the film.
Having said that, does anyone remember the music video to Hold Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me, Thrill Me by U2? That showed a clip of Two Face saying "if the bat wants to play, we'll play!" and that wasn't in the film. Seemed strange to include it in the video and for it not to be in the film.
Apparently TDK ended up taking $67 million on Friday. They initially underestimated the total by $7m which is no small chunk of change. So it'll be interesting to see if the $48m figure holRAB up. Nothing up on BoxOfficeMojo yet.
By the way, breaking from all of these numbers for a minute - there's a TDK special on Sky One today at 4pm. And then Begins in on there tonight at 9.
This is going to be the hard bit for fellow Heathens......
There is no point telling fans of the late Heath Ledger to relax. Six months after the actor's death in New York from a prescription drugs overdose, they are just days away from finally watching him as the villainous Joker in the latest Batman movie. And they know it will be wrenching. Their best hope must be this: that Ledger will be so seducing in his devilry they will quickly forget it is him and that he is gone. Easier said than done.
I don't think she was been ruled out as such. Goyer just didn't seem so keen on using her. I'm hoping he has a change of heart or that his influence won't be that vital because I would like to see Catwoman in it basically.
Awesome film, 10/10 without a doubt. If you are still trying to decide whether to see this or not then stop thinking about it and go.
All of the cast were great, Christian Bale is an excellent Bruce Wayne/Batman. Aaron Eckhart is fantastic as Harvey Dent and Gary Oldman is superb as Gordon. Not forgetting Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine either, there is absolutely no weak link in the casting at all.
Final word has to go to Heath Ledger though, his Joker is twisted and psychotic with a good line in comedy. It is a powerhouse performance from him and makes Jack Nicholson's version look like he should be in an episode of Noddy.
Heath must get at least an oscar nomination for this role, if he doesn't get an oscar i have to see the performance that gets it ahead of him...
It is a tragedy that Heath is gone, how he can go from the Brokeback performance to the Joker is incredible - 2 enRAB of the spectrum both carried off superbly. I can only imagine how good he would have gone on to become as he matured.
