Batman Begins Sequel

It looks like he went crazy with lipstick, but there is also scarring there. I imagine when he smiles his mouth will open up very wide!

Anthony Michael Hall from The Breakfast Club has been cast in a role so secret he's not allowed to say without spoiling the movie!

I heard that Tim Booth, who played Victor Zsasz in Begins, is returning for TDK. He escaped Arkham in the end, so it's right to presume he's still at large... as is the Scarecrow. I really hope we see Batman finally take them down!

hahahahahaha.............'i lost my paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarents'

I've seen this guy's bond pardoy....this is hilarious!! Thankyou for pointing this out!

It seems like we have our Joker for the Batman Begins sequel which is now called The Dark Knight!
Here is the offical press release:

"CHRISTOPHER NOLAN TO DIRECT
WARNER BROS. PICTURES' UPCOMING BATMAN MOVIE,
THE DARK KNIGHT
CHRISTIAN BALE REPRISES TITLE CHARACTER,
HEATH LEDGER JOINS CAST AS THE JOKER
BURBANK, CA, 31 July 2006 - As a follow up to last year's blockbusterBatman Begins, Christopher Nolan is set to direct Warner Bros. Pictures' The Dark Knight, written by Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan. Additionally, Christian Bale will resume his role as Bruce Wayne and Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has been cast as The Joker. The announcements were made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.
Christopher Nolan revamped the Batman franchise in 2005 with the immensely successful Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale in the title role, which chronicled the early years of the superhero. Nolan first garnered attention from critics and fans in 2000 with the groundbreaking drama Memento, which he wrote and directed. He went on to direct the thriller Insomnia, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams, and recently wrapped production on The Prestige, with Hugh Jackman and Bale.
Bale was most recently seen in the ensemble cast of Terrence Malick's The New World. His other credits include Little Women, Portrait of a Lady, Metroland, American Psycho, Laurel Canyon and Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, which was his first starring role.
Ledger most recently earned Oscar Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG Award nominations and won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ennis Del Mar in the award-winning drama Brokeback Mountain. His other credits include Casanova, Monster's Ball, LorRAB of Dogtown, The Brothers Grimm and The Patriot.
"Chris' unique vision is what made Batman Begins such an outstanding film and we could not imagine anyone else at the helm of The Dark Knight," said Robinov. "We also can't wait to see two such formidable actors as Christian and Heath face off with each other as Batman and The Joker."
"I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins," added Nolan. "Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."
Production is set to begin on The Dark Knight in early 2007.
Nolan and Ledger are represented by CAA."

Also website Batman On Film is reporting that Philip Seymour Hoffman is close to signing on for the role of The Penguin in the Batman Begins sequel. The Penguin, says the website, will be the second villain of the piece!

Doesn't it feel like we've been waiting forever for this movie to come out? Come out already, damn it!

I got tickets for the midnight show and i'm just imagining how many guys painted like the joker are going to show up. Anyone here going down that route?

I am SO excited for this movie now, LOL!

The jokers face is strangely orgasmic. :o

Feel sorry for those who have been waiting years.:p

I might have to wait for the Dvd release tho because i hate the cinemas.:(

I think what had happened was that he requested the media leave 'Batman' out of the questions since he was promoting another movie (with Russell Crowe), but someone must have ignored that, so he became sarcastic.

I dont think there is any question about this image of Heath Ledger as the Joker being real especially after the vote for Harvey Dent poster as well. I really like it especially as it is so different to Jack Nicholson Joker as well. It does look like scarring which seems to hint towarRAB a very dark version of the Joker. It will be interesting to see if Batman: The Dark Knight does end up as a 12 cert especially if Christopher Nolan makes a very dark film!

Yup, going seeing this in about 3-4 hours time. Sorry to hear that the ending is a bit dragged out, I don't mind too much but it did ruin the lord of the rings trilogy for me when we were "treated" to an hour long ending. It felt like 4 endings had been shot and they couldn't decide which one to use so they threw them all in.

But yeah, I'm pretty wired about seeing this (I only watched batman begins for the first time a few months ago and I love the darker grittier style of these new batman movies.
