Batman Begins Sequel

What's with the "Big News" story about Batman leaving Gotham to fight crime for the first time? I know he was still Bruce Wayne, but around the first hour of "Batman Begins" was outside Gotham, so it's not like the real world doesn't exist!

This film will be awesome!

I bought Batman Begins the other week actually...Christian Bale is a great actor got a lot of respect for that guy, think he suits Batman really well.

Cant wait to see Heath in action either.

If there is a teaser it won't show any footage, it's too early for that. But they can do the carRAB thing just to remind people that this film is being made. They could do a lot worse than put it on Order Of The Phoenix, it should be a massive success.

This is just from one person,.

I worked on the film for 7 days and I honestly feel it is incomplete. I liked several scenes that I watched being filmed and none of them made it. There is also tons of stuff they told us was being filmed at the time. And also some things I heard about that were not in there.

* Gordon investigating things at the hospital. He finRAB out they are missing one bus of patients and starts going off on the doctor.

* Bruce Wayne visited the wreckage of the hospital. I think he made an offer to fund the rebuilding of it.

* The bomb squad truck pulling up to the hospital (after it exploded mind you. LOL!)

* A whole alleyway shoot out after the funeral scene

* After the funeral. Bruce frees the honour guard. Joker runs back to the apartment but finRAB a Batman waiting. Joker in his cop uniform fighting one of the fake Batmen (This was done in day light)

* Somethings from my frienRAB in HK, They saw newspaper props that showed Batman making some big arrest in Gotham. While walking in the midlevels Lucis grabbed a paper and showed it to Wayne and they smiled.

* I talked to some real cops, they came and filmed all these montage scenes of the cops taking back the streets.

* Another extra I know from several projects said he played in an Asian gang scene, they were getting money in a van and took off.

* One that makes me wonder, when we were in the bomb squad tent, they played the speech Engel read off but it was all the Joker. He taped the message and sent it out. Perhaps he recorded dialogue but never got back to finish actually filming it.

* This is a personal one, I got to arrest the dirty cop in the SUV from the Reese murder attempt. I slamed him against the hood hard a few times and on 1 take, his radio broke off. LOL!

I'll try to think of more. I know most of it was probably pacing issuses, it was really hectic pacing in parts of it.

And I was waiting to see how Batman on top of the cop cars was gonna play out.

Also the scene of Batman landing on the car and it smashing isnt in the film. The shot of the joker walking while pulling his knife out is shortened. They use a different angle so you actually dont see the knife at all.You just see him fumbling in his pocket. The shot of him with his head out the car window lasts 4 seconRAB.And most of the interragation room scene we have seen is not in the final cut.Its all new dialogue in the film too than what is heard on the trailers and tv spots.

Most definitely. Would be cruel if they revealed that card only to be a pic of a joker on a palying card instead of his actual face.

Really I think he would be perfect especially as a more comic book style version of the Joker!
Micheal Caine has talking about future films recently and mentioned about Batman Begins:

"Now I will do something there are three pictures I want to do, small parts. One [Children of Men, released September 2006] is with Alfonso Cuaron who directed Y tu Mama Tambien, I wanted to work with him and then Christopher Nolan who directed Batman is doing a smaller film called The Prestige about magicians and it

IGN recently went to "An Evening With Christopher Nolan" and picked up some titbits. Nolan confirms Dent is in TDK, but has not been cast as yet.

"I haven't finished the script yet. I'm supposed to be doing it right now," Nolan admitted, sparking laughter from the crowd. "It does, absolutely. It's a pretty direct continuation of where the last film left off, and the last scene of Batman Begins suggests a strong direction we wanted to take the story in. It absolutely carries on with a lot of the thematic concerns and hopefully takes it someplace new."

After a week of reading rave reviews and trying to avoid spoilers i finally got to see TDK up Waterloo IMAX on Saturday and it was worth the wait :) Almost got a nosebleed at the start from the overhead cityscape shot which filled entire IMAX screen but soon managed to adjust to the enormity of it and enjoyed the best comic book movie I've seen yet. Was worried that Heath' performance was just going to be mostly hype due to his untimely death but he was indeed immense in the role,
managed the whole gamut from frightening psychopath to comically mad in that scene where he's dressed as a nurse at the end which had audience in hysterics, the mannerisms reminded me of Johnny Depp!
Thought Gyllenhaal brought a lot more to the role than Holmes and so i could believe that billionaire Bruce would be infatuated with her despite being able to have any gold digger model he wanted. Eckhart was also superb, though I weren't too keen on
the CGI used on Two-Face as whilst it was stomach churning it did remind me of the effects used in The Mummy a bit too much

Overall I'll give it 4.5/5 (4 for the movie and an extra half for IMAX which proved to be a worthwhile experience!)

Yep - (as I said earlier) in years to come people won't realise it's a "sensitive" scene. So it should stay in.

Am going to see if London IMAX has tickets for opening weekend - have decided it's worth the traipse!:D

And I said everyone has a right to view the movie. Obviously I felt sorry for the guy but there is no other word for it, the film was ruined, and trust me I was not the only annoyed viewer.

It wasn't so much him having a fit but more so the time it took for the cinema to react. They turned on the lights while the film continued to play to full beam for about 20 minutes. Then when they did finally stop the film it took another half an hour to get it back on, and obviously being a reel they couldn't rewind.

I stand by what I said, yes he can see the film but they shouldn't have bought him to the advance previews where, we had to pay

Almost everyone at my theater stayed...but mostly because we were waiting to see if there was a hidden scene at the end of the credits

I'm not sure we'll see Catwoman appear in these films, or The Penguin and Riddler for that matter. Their characters were done to death in the previous Batman films. Two-Face can be done because his character was never dealt with properly in Batman Forever, he was just a panto villain. Also, The Joker being Batman's ultimate adversary, he HAD to return, it would be like bringing back Doctor Who and not having the Daleks. Plus the definitive onscreen Joker was yet to be done. It seems Heath Ledger and Christopher Nolan may have captured that.
