Batman Begins (Blu ray)

Maybe the wrong section for this but...

I have bought the Blu Ray version of Batman Begins and its listed as 2.40:1 16:9 BUT I still have black bars when playing on a 16:9 native tv...I have played around with settings on the ps3 and the tv and cannot change it...it really bugs me as all my other blu ray films are fine...is it something to do with the film being shot in IMAX?

Only The Dark Knight prologue was shot in IMAX, Begins wasn't, so that shouldn't be the problem...

It was shot in 2.35:1, widescreen TVs aren't wide enough for that sort of ratio, so in order to display the full picture it has been effectively zoomed out to fit the 16:9 frame.

DARK KNIGHT Prologue on the disc was filmed in HD IMAX so that should play as you expect but as the above mentioned the original movie was not
