OK folks! havent seen Batman Begins as yet! looking forward to renting it out! but have one question! Is it better than the 1st BATMAN with Keaton which is a classic! never mind all the rest of them that were ****.
Thats a hard one , i still say Micheal Keaton was by far the best BatMan.
Batman Returns was the best one out of them all so far and i liked Batman 89 and Batman begins is cool.
I agree they were the only good 3 rest were rubbish.
I would go for 05. The film tells you much more about the history of Batman. In the Keaton version all you see is his parents get killed and suddenly he's Batman. In the new version you follow the whole evolution. It's not over the top like the earlier versions.
Although come to think of it I think I prefer the Adam West film version over both of those
I vote for the '89 version; fine heroes and villains, fabulous design, both thrilling and interesting plus great music (and unlike the new movie, it only took one man to write it!).
But the cartoon beats all the live-action versions hanRAB down.
I'm a huge fan of Christian Bale's work (not just his looks) and I really feel he made the role his own unlike Kilmer and Clooney who just seemed like they were pretenders in Keaton's shadow.
now i loved Batman 89!! i thought it was hte best even with all its faults in trying to make the whole film tie together!! but then o5 came out and thought it was fantastic!!! it was so much more to the story fo the comics!! and was great showing how he became Batman!!
now of course i love the Adam West lot who couldnt it made it fun but the travestys that were made by Schumacher who i think was trying to go for feel of the Adam West days well they were terrible!!!
I liked them both but they are very different interpretations. Batman Begins is very serious and delves much deeper into the creation of Batman. I personally couldnt stand Katie Holmes and thought the Scarecrow was very underused, also the images seen when under the influence of the "dust" werent scary at all imho.
but to me now i think he will fully be the scarecrow and will at somepoint come back later!! in Begins he was sort of using the mask as a tool but now hes been zapped i think it could well be stuck on him forever we havent seen the last of him yet (just as long as more are made) and i dont even think we have seen the last of Ra's Al Ghul!!
Batman (1989) - Michael Keaton was very good as Bruce Wayne but the film did drag a little although I would say it was the best out of the franchise at the time. The rest of the sequels were dire until....
Batman Begins - Christian Bale is the best Batman of them all. The film is more dark, lots more action and it has a better direction going with it. Michael Caine was Alfred was a fine touch and great parts from Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman, however Katie Holmes was rather dull and perhaps the wrong casting was made there.
If you watch Batman Begins, you certainly wont be dissapointed! I do have a soft touch for the original Batman film and series with Adam West, they were great
batman was my favorite out of the two although batman begins was good.
Micheal Keaton was the best batman and the person who played Alfred was better than Micheal cane the bat mobile was far cooler than the tank thing and jack Nicholson was brilliant as the joker but it looks like heath ledger will give him a run for his money.the film was darker and the bat wing was so cool especially when it flew up against the moon.and the joker killing his parents was a better storyline than just some random guy.
but batman begins is not all that bad the scare crow is my favorite villain.and it is good to see Batman's back story.
