Batman 3 thread

There was an interview with Aaron where he said that Nolan
told him Harvey was dead as a door nail and won't be back.
I know actors lie, but I see no reason not to believe him for now. I doubt Nolan would been naieve enough to think he and Aaron could cover it up if he did use Two Face/Harvey again. It would get leaked no matter what they said.

That would be rather cool. Though, to be honest, the things that scared me most about Scorpio were the sideburns and the freaky "ah-ah-oo-ah-oo" music.

Edward Nigma could become an alias. Also, if the Bank Manager does become The Riddler, we haven't been told his name yet. It could be Edward Nigma.

Even though Chris Nolan doesnt seem to be a fan, i think there is potential for the Penguin to feature. Obviously, he would have to go through quite a makeover and they would have to think outside of the box on this one. My idea would be a big Tony Soprano-esque mafia don who, unlike the mobsters from the last two films, puts the villians (who are starting to emerge in larger numbers) in their place (a bit like the Kingpin in the Daredevil movie and more so, the marvel comics). In addition, anyone who crosses him is beat to death with his metal umbrella that he always has on him, and the reason he is able to give Batman a run for his money? somethign to do with his supply of weapons/ gadgets that he has acquired through bribing corrupt employees of Bruce Waynes weapons division ( a plotline which would also give Lucius Fox more screentime than he did in TDK)

well, its worth a thought

Yup, and if you actually check the website they quote that same story.

The point of the page with the video is that it contradicts that statement.

Anyone got any more ideas for the 3rd movie.

I had one and it involved the joker and scarecrow meeting each other in arkham and making a plot to escape, scarecrow using his fear toxin could turn Dr. Quinzell into Harley Quinn. They make their escape and free all the other inmates and a big group is formed. One of the inmates is edward nigma a psycopath serial killer whose love of riddles earned him the name the riddler in arkham. The film would then revolve around Scarecrow Joker and the Riddler terrorising gotham trying to draw out batman, the joker purely because he loves it, the riddler because hes obsessed with finding out who batman is, and scarecrow because he wants revenge.

The theme of escalatation continues as batmans mission is harder than ever, now he has 3 main villains who have also formed a massive criminal organisation, whilst he also has the police on the hunt for him as was started at the end of The Dark Knight.

Obviously this would be tough to do as we have lost our joker.

I think it would make a good animated film or novel though.

Whilst in no way do i think ANY of the previous batman films are better than Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, there is one thing that batman and batman returns had that was better.

The theme song, the classic danny whatshisface song is far far better than the new theme, i think they maybe should have carried it over.

Dont know if this has be asked or mentioned in another thread, but was watching I Am Legend last night and in a scene in time square on one of the big billboarRAB theres a superman symbol overlapped by a batman symbol prob means nothing but that would be cool if they are planning a superman and batman movie. Sorry if this has been discussed

Although this probably is fake. The reference is to the bat symbol, not the signal. In the start of every Batman film a bat symbol appears, this isnt to be confused with the searchlight signal which Jim Gordon destroyed at the end of TDK.

Jim Carrey is the ONLY reason to watch that movie. It was dire except for his performance.

I don't see why The Joker can't return in Nolan's next batman film, with someone else in the role, since reinventing stuff is all the rage these days. Ledger's Joker was awesome, but that doesn't mean someone else can't have a go.

Consistency in style isn't important anymore so long as the performance is strong.

That's a reference to the film Batman vs Superman that was at the scripting stage (written by I Am Legand writer Akiva GolRABman), but was eventually dumped in favour of making Batman Begins and Superman Returns. Kind of an in-joke for the writer whose script never got made.

Batman Forever is one of the few times I've liked Jim Carrey. He was great, and the Ridder's storyline was one of the only good parts of an otherwise terrible script.

I'd have no problem seeing someone else playing the Joker and I think people would be silly to get upset at a re-cast. In the old Batman movie franchise, they re-cast the role of Batman himself twice and no one cared. No one cared when Katie Holmes was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal - in fact it was welcomed. If people decided to see a re-cast of the Joker as some sort of disrespect toward Ledger they would simply be idiots, and there are actors out there who would be capable of playing a similar Joker if that was what Nolan wanted.
