wow, appearantly you dont. Everything in planar geometry can be derived from a triangle or a circle. You use calculus for the surface area of a sphere though. In spherical geometry everything is a clusterfuck (I have never taken spherical geometry nor have I thought extensively about it but I have a feeling it is a cluster fuck)
 
Wouldn't giving you the formula and/or extra time defeat the purpose of a test?

Don't count on sympathy next time; be prepared and you won't have any trouble.
 
Sounds like the teacher is giving you valuable insight into real life.

Nobody gives a fuck what your excuse is, they expect you to do it. Learn this, because that's how it is. Sounds like your teacher is an ass, but then again, so will be every boss you ever have.

I had asked because he wasn't in the class for over 3 weeks cause he had a "cold." Also, the sub didn't know shit about geometry and basically told us to read and learn.
 
Can't say I can tell you what to do but perhaps hearing about a worse teacher will make feel a little bit better about the one you have.

My teacher: She gave us the formulas on a piece of paper, told us to memorize them. After that were on our own. She didn't "explain" anything to us. The only thing she really "took the time" in class to explain to us was that we were all worthless pieces of shit. I am quite serious. She was the ugliest, meanest bitch I have ever had the misfortune of knowing. Very first day of school: "I would have no trouble, and would be quite happy to fail you all."
Nice way to start off the school year huh? I was going to request a transfer to a diferent geometry class but they were all filled up and only one left was honors.

I am a bit surprised that anyone even expects a TEST to be completed past the class time. Are schools doing this now? If so, it's really sad.

Also, the only thing I could even partially understand is your resentment that he would't help you out before class. But it does sound like it was only a few minutes before, so... Still he was right to refuse your request. Being prepared for tests is something you'll have to do until graduation from college. Trust me with this. You have NO clue how easy high school is until you hit college. Nothing is spoon-fed or just handed to you. You are expected to keep yourself up to date and prepared for all assignments. They only mention the homework, or put it on the board. Some professors don't even point it out if it is on the board. They actually think people read things and take time to make a note of it. Get used to this. It does not get easier.
 
Did I forget to mention that he fails half the assignments that I turn in on accounts of "you don't pay attention" even though the assignments are perfectly written and without error?
 
The teacher doesn't fail you. You fail yourself. Fucking hell, I almost failed out of high school and even I knew it was my own fault. Are you expecting life to be all roses or something?
 
Hell no, life hasn't ever been roses for me, and I never expect them to be such. I just don't get why he kept failing my assignments and tests for no damn reason. I mean come on, I'm awake the entire class, I don't talk, and he still says I'm not paying attention.
 
You can compose the most grammatically-correct, eloquent, articulate, beautifully-written essay he may have ever read, but if what you are actually saying isn't right then you earn the failing grade. Are you sure that's not the case here?
