Basketball Strategy Question?

Is it poor sportsmanship to run the four corners offense and hold the ball for a long time in high school basketball? For example, without a shot clock and a team that is rebuilding. If a team was struggling or was playing with new, inexperienced players, would this strategy be acceptable?
 
it would frustrate the opposing team when they are down by only a few points. it is allowed in high school basketball but i think that it stops the fun of playing and more of the desire for winning. I would not consider it poor sportsmanship but rather boring to watch.
