I feel its important to an extent. If its gonna be a five game series its going to be a five game series. If lets say a team gets to win all 3 home games and is in game 7 at home, it may make them or break them. It all depends on the team. Most teams play better at home, but the good ones play better or the same on the road. Lakers have the best road record.. I guess some times they get a mental block at home, especially against a sub 500 team. you have to play each game like a game 7 finals.. that how champs play every game!!! (not if your up by 25 with 3min in the 4th, thats 3rd string time, they deserve it).
As a Laker fan, i think they would need home court only against the Celtics if Bynum is not 90-100%. I feel the Caves may choke in the finals!! Celtics have been there. We would need it, but if the big B is ready 100%, nothing could stop us!!!!!
