baseball...would you allow gay people to play this sport?

I am not a gay man, but I support everything that a gay man strives for, if a gay man wants to play a sport, let him play. I'm sure he will accept that the other men are straight and won't try anything. As long as he plays the game without using reasons like "they are just saying that because I'm gay" then I am all for them playing the game. Heck, they are human too.

Well some players are gay but they dont want us knowing. Some gays might not be good because they would cry if they got hit at all so they probably would not do as well but they could still maybe do fine. I had a gay on my team and he just wouldnt let his uniform get dirty, so it did make him a little worse

News flash-- there are pro players that are Gay, they just don't brag about it. BTW you don't turn Gay, you just are.

If he could hit well (pitch if he's a pitcher), has excellent D, willing to work hard and is a great teammate then I don't even care what his sexual preference is at all! In all honesty its not my right to be all up in anybody's business especially if the person does not want that information out. Its their private business you know? And if they are out and proud to be who they are then I have no problem with that! In fact I like people who are themselves that's better that way :)

Several players have been gay. Of course I would allow it. If anybody were that prejudiced and stupid to not allow gay people to play baseball, I would feel sorry for them, considering how close-minded and ignorant that person would have to be.

i say it doesn't matter wat an athletes sexuality is. its not hurting anyone so i personally wouldnt care if a player was gay :)

Being gay or straight in my opinion has absolutely nothing to do with your job, your talent etc. I am sure there are a ton of gay people that play sports every day, and just don't say anything because they figure 1. Why should it matter and 2. It's no body's business unless I want to tell them. So to answer your question, absolutely. PLAY BALL!! ;)

Considering the fact that experts in this type of thing say that about 8-10% of all men are gay, and there are 30 teams with 25 players on their roster at a time, don't you suppose that there are at least a few gay players out there already?
Do the math.

As to what would happen - I would bet nothing. Other than perhaps a few homophobic morons who would be worried about sharing a locker room, or thinking that a gay man would hit on them raising a stink. And if the guy can play, I doubt that would even be an issue to 99% of the players.
