With the Cubs drought being at 100 years, I am curious what the odds are of a team going that long with out winning a championship. I know that with the addition of new teams over the years the odds have had to change, and I know that there has to be a way to look it up online, but I don't know how to do it. Anybody have the answer?

Since there are 30 teams and only one team has gone 100 years without a championship, I'd put the odds at roughly 1 out of 30.

You can't calculate the odds without first knowing the probability the Cubs will win each year, which varies and is mathematically impossible to predict accurately. If you just want to make the assumption that there are x number of teams and they have a 1 in x chance of winning each year than the answer for 100 years with the same amount of teams each year would be [(x-1)^100]/[x^100]
