I grip a baseball bat the same way you grip a golf club. i dont choke up or hang my pinky finger under the knob, i grip the bat just above the knob
I noticed that players like Travis Hafner and Derek Lee use the same grip i use, and the bats they use have cone shaped knobs. it appears the cone shaped knob is designed for players who grip the bat this way.
so before i go out and waste my money buying a new bat, does the shap of a bats knob hurt or benefit a player at all? or is it just personal preference?
