I heard Bart has Red hair but if Bart has red hair then why doesn't it show. And is it me or is Grandpa not featured in the new episodes as much as some of the old ones

Neil Patrick Harris's depiction of Bart shows his hair color is indeed supposed to be reddish. I never thought of that, I figured it was supposed to be blonde.

I think it was in “No loan again, naturally” Bart has to stay inside and we find out the sun bleaches his hair blond.
Kind of stupid. It changes something basic that we know about a character for a throw away joke that just wasn’t worth it and will never ever get referenced again, ever.

The same sort of thing happened in “Secrets of a successful marriage” when Homer lets it spill that Marge has been dying her hair since high school. At least that seems more believable and may imply that Homer is responsible since that could be just when they started dating. Unless someone has some sort of definitive time line that says otherwise.

But both those things are pure nonsense. I bet if you told most people that work on the show that Bart is ginger and Marge is gray, they wouldn't know what the hell you're talking about.

I got a question about Grandpa Simpson: In one episode, he mentions he was in a fanclub of a cowboy character as kid, and he pulls out his membership card, with his name being "Little Grandpa Simpson" on it.

I heard it was like that because some of the show creators who worked on that episode didn't know or care that he did have a proper first name. At the time, I kinda took it as a joke like how the all the Berenstein Bears are all named for their family relation titles, but if true, it makes me .

That joke makes no sense since we've seen Bart at pretty much every stage of his life, from conception/birth to his current age, and he's always been blonde.
