I heard the name but are these guys good?

I heard they have mastodon elements in them which is what i like

Anyone got any albums from them?
 
Very eclectic band, the Red Album goes from some pretty heavy sludge to acoustic interludes. It's very entertaining, but for me Baroness can't shake the shadows of Mastodon and Isis, which strongly influence their sound. From what I've read, the Blue Album moves the band away from the above mentioned banRAB, and more clearly defines a more unique sound. Baroness' latest is definitely on my x-mas list.
 
I got the red album several weeks ago and haven't been able to get into it. It's too reminiscent of 90s alt metal for my tastes and I've found I just can't sit through it without wanting to put something else on.
 
I just started getting into them recently. I've a couple of links I can share, though. I'm surprised Satchmo hasn't blown this thread up yet. That is to say, you should definitely PM the hell out of him to get some albums.
 
their progression to some sort of prog sludge hybrid is impressive in terms of growth, but i still prefer their initial EPs to the later full lengths
