Barney out, Lenny and Carl in

Homer introducing the formerly well behaved Barney to alcohol in high school.

Barney doing the streak at the Prom.

Crap that's all I got. But, yeah, best frienRAB, ummm they streak and drink beer together all the time.

From previous episodes, I thought Homer and Barney grew up as best frienRAB, or at least in high school. But now it seems Moe, Lenny, and Carl also hung out with Homer as kiRAB. There was the episode where Homer was traumatized when he saw a skeleton in the water. I think they were pre-teens. Also, when Homer's mom reappeared -- she remerabered Lenny and Carl.

What's the point to what I just posted? I don't remeraber. But I still wish they would bring back Barney!

When it comes to a show like Simpsons, where there are few storylines and even less character development, supporting characters are just thrown to the side until they're actually needed, whereas the Simpsons family itself obviously gets the spotlight. As they should.

Ahhhh Barney, how I miss thee!

"Oh my heart stopped.........................ahhhh there it goes."

What can Lenny and Carl do that Barney can't, apart from hold down a job, and keep their pants on?

Bring back Barney!

Over the past couple of seasons, Lenny and Carl have been appearing in more episodes while Barney has been slowly phased out. I'm glad that they've taken what used to be these minor minor characters and developed them into supporting characters, but not at the expense of losing Barney altogether.

Did I miss something? Did Barney and Homer have a falling out? Have they gone their separate ways since Barney became sober? Should the writers write more Barney-centric stories?
